Aubenas, France-1999

Before we went to Aubenas we didn't know so much about France and the nature in the area. We have to say that we had many lovely days walking in the mountains and the hills around the area. In a way it looked a bit like some places in Norway and still it was very different. Ina loves to run and in the area it was a lot of places to do this. The town itselves was also special. When we visited the tourist-office they told us that they had never had anyone from Norway there before.

The houses were built of stones. After a week we understood why. It was a very hot place to stay. The temperature got more than 30 C every day. The best time in the day to take a walk or run was in the morning or in the evenings. Luckily we had a pool to keep cool in the middle of the day.
Silje really loved the pool. The first day she was a bit anxious and woudn't be alone in the pool. The last days she wouldn't leave it. We took a lot of pictures of Silje in the pool. Sadly everyone was in slides. We hope to make paper picture of them one day, then we we show them on this page.
France and Aubenas had a lot of exciting things to offer. We loved to go to the marked. We were happy that we had brought the car. When we left we were loaded with spices and a lot of other things that we needed???

We really hope to come back again to this lovely part of France. So Agnes and Daniel Satre, if you want to come to Norway again just let us know. We loved your house and everything around.
