Sonderhausen, Germany 2005

Early we decided to make an exchange in Sondershausen. Michel Petzoldīs house looked very nice and the pool as well. And I can insure you we had some lovely days there. Here you can see some pictures from the house, the city and from many other places we visited.
  • Bautzen ( Pictures later)
  • Other pictures from Germany (later)
We started our holiday in Praha and drove to a small town outside Bautzen where we stayed 3 nights at Angelicas Bed and breakfast.

At the picture we are outside in their garden.

We drove from Bautzen to Sondershausen. When we arrived we were met by the whole family. And soon we found out: The Germans make very good beer.

The house is situated on the top of a small hill and you can sit there and look at the sun set.
The kitchen is big and comfortable. It is cosy with many plants. Many windows makes it light.
Around the house it is beautiful. If you want to relax in the sun you can have a swim in the pool to cool down.
In Sonderhausen there were many places to go out to have something to eat or drink.

There are some hills around the town. Here you can go by bike. In the forest it is not so hot.

At the top you will find Jagdschloss Possen. at the restaurant you can have a cold beer.

Under Sondershausen is a mine where they find salt. We went with a guided tour 800 meters under the surface and had an exciting day.
Michael Petzold and Odd Arne outside Petzold's house. It was easy to find the house because he had a Norwegian flagg hanging on top of the weatherstation.

Now we are looking forward to meet again. This time in Norway.
